babysitting

today we got to babysit our sweet little neighbor madelyn! having a 2 month old next to my baby...definitley makes my baby not seem as much like a baby!! she is only 17 months though!! just goes to show how FAST they grow!! cute little girls.

Happy 3rd Birthday Wyatt!!

wow, i can't believe that my little guy is 3 already!! how time flies when your having fun...and we HAVE been having fun! just take a gander at all he/we were able to do for his birthday...

first we went strawberry pickin' with grandma!

ok, so, not all of them made it in the bucket!!

claire did her best to help with the pickin', but most of the ones she grabbed ended up smashed, smeared or swallowed! ;)

after we dropped off our filled baskets of strawberries, we picked up some chick-fil-a, then headed to the park.

after the park, we headed home for naps. uncle jay, auntie ree and eli came during this time and daddy got home early! when the kiddos woke up, it was time to open presents!

sweet wyatt, we hope that you had a wonderful 3rd birthday!! we love you soooo so much and are so blessed that God would pick us to be your parents. we pray that this year ahead, and many many more, would be full of His blessings on you and that you would grow up to love and serve Him.

early birthday

we are making our trip last! we left delaware today and are staying at matt's parents, which is fun and breaks up the long trip from DE to NC. matt's mom (nana) has sure had an eventful weekend! not only was saturday grannie and pop pop's 60th anniversary celebration, it was also her birthday, followed by mother's day on sunday and then this evening we celebrated wyatt's birthday with them! one celebration after another!! here are some pictures from our little birthday time for wyatt! (...can't believe that he is going to be 3 in two days!!!)

whenever we are in delaware, wyatt LOVES going to uncle chris and aunt crystal's farm to "drive" all of the tractors! (and they are so sweet to let him.) i think that he got in every single big truck, tractor, combine they have!!

PopPop & Grannie's 60th Anniversary!!

what a blessing to be able to make the trip up for this sweet celebration! how awesome that everyone in the family was able to make it too! they really wanted a photo with everyone, so it was able to happen! matt's mom and his uncles (or maybe his aunts!?! ;) ) planned a really nice celebration for them at this awesome seafood restaurant–known for their crab cakes. it was such a nice time and the food (best crab cakes ever!!) and company were great!

wyatt and claire learning the true meaning of the "cozy coup"! this wasn't the only time they tried to disprove it's name...but if the door isn't any where near closing – try, try again!! love them!

we have been out playing on the deck in the water table and i don't know why i didn't think to bring the little cozy coup car up on the deck before, but it added to the fun. not only the above mission, but also how much water could fill up the "trunk" or be poured on claire while she "drives". they are so funny how determined they are about little things like that. not necessarily soaking each other, that's just a side effect, but getting the water from one location to another. they just love it!

sprint triathlon

matt, bryan and ben

today matt, along with a couple of his good buddies and brother-in-law (who had a gaggle of friends there himself!) participated in a sprint triathlon. they all did really well. matt was worried about it because he had multiple things keep him from training the last couple of weeks leading up to the event. but he did great! i was personally impressed with his swim time...i can't tell you what it was (because i don't remember), but it was good! :)
