7 MONTHS OLD!

Wow, we cannot believe that our little guy is 7 months old! He just brightens every day with that cute face and smile! It’s amazing to think of how much he has grown and learned in such a short period of time! He’s sitting up really well these days. We don’t have to put anything behind him, but at some point during sitting he always decides to lay down, and the pillow is just nicer to his little "punkin" head!! He can roll now, but he rarely does it. He just enjoys sitting in one place and playing with his toys. Unless, of course, he is in the Johnny Jumper in the doorway, then those feet keep him bouncin’! he also has about 5 teeth trying to join the two he has on the bottom. Four on the top and one more on the bottom. the one on the bottoms has broken through too. He barely seems to notice them, aside from the drooling and sudden love for the pacifier!

2nd Christmas party!

We had a Christmas party with my department from work…aka: 2nd family! It was a lot of fun. We did white elephant gifts: we ended up with 2 packs of glow sticks (necklaces, braclets – kind of a fun gift!) and an old timey disney alarm clock (not so fun gift!). Wyatt also received his first Christmas gift at this party! ☺ It was a fun cement truck and a book about trucks!




we all chipped in to give paul (our fearless leader ;) ) and his wife nancy this print that paul had beeb eyeing on our trip to the art museum couple months ago.

1st Christmas party!

Wyatt experienced his first Christmas party this evening! It was a fun time with great friends and lots of yummy food!

We of course had to at least try to get a picture of all the little ones together in front of the Christmas tree! Never could get them to all look at the same time, but at least they are all facing toward the cameras! That was a feat in itself!

What a funny guy! He’s got these neat little “U” shaped toys that he likes to bite on, but this was a new way of biting on it!




later we broke out his baby einstein gym, which he hasn’t played with for a couple of weeks. Last time he played with it he couldn’t sit up on his own, so now he can be right at everything! Wow, this makes you realize how fast they grow!! He’s 6 ½ months old already!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wyatt’s first thanksgiving! We spent it with the Virginia renfrows! :) as you can see we had a table full of great food: turkey, potato casserole, limas, greens, a cranberry dish, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, candied sweet potatos, parkerhouse rolls, and not picture where the apple pie and sweet potato pie!! Yum! Also, ash had maid these awesome pumpkin cookies with cream cheese icing that I ate about 10 of!! Everything was so yummy!





wyatt especially enjoyed playing with the aluminum container that the rolls came it. It made lots of loud noises when he hit on it. (his friend oliver taught him how to do this!)

Playgroup Thanksgiving

i can't remember if i have talked about our playgroup before, but it is made up of the friends that we made in our birthing classes! we have started meeting once a month for dinners! at halloween we got together and all the babies were dressed up! too cute! this time we met and shared a thanksgiving dinner together! it was a lot of fun and it is always so neat to see how the babies change from month to month. wyatt is the youngest in the bunch, by a month and a week or two. size wise you wouldn't be able to tell, but the other babies are more active than him. he always sits and watches them move around, but doesn't seem too interested in doing it himself! that's fine with us! ;)

this morning wyatt and i picked up my friend elizabeth and went to visit our friend jennifer and her son hunter! hunter is 3 weeks older than wyatt, so we had not met him yet and they had not met wyatt yet. (they live about 1.5 hour away from us.) we had a super nice visit and jennifer made this yummy butternut squash soup that i can't wait to make myself!

poor lucy stepped on something in the backyard yesterday and she had to get a couple of stitches in her paw. she has to wear the cone for about 2 weeks and we have to try our best to keep her paw clean and dry...yikes! the wrap the vet put on her foot came off not long after we brought her home, so matt had to come up with a more sturdy wrap...hence, the silver boot! :)





wyatt enjoys getting to see lucy. her new home is the blocked off "mud room" area, until she is healed.









we gave wyatt some banana for dinner, here he is chasing it around his tray, trying to pick up the the slippery pieces! when he finally gets one, he kind of crazily waves his arms up and down, while totally squshing the piece of banana in his hand, and then smearing it around on the tray! so silly!

another warm day in november! i was looking around in wyatt's closet to find him something short-sleeved to wear and i am so thankful that i came across this onesie that his aunt ree and uncle jay gave him from their honeymoon! he's growing so fast, i hope that he'll be able to wear it again! thanks ree and jay! :)

It was such a pretty day today that we just had to go outside and play! Wyatt loves being outside, always taking everything in. so sweet. here are just a couple of the pictures from our afternoon adventures! :)

1st halloween!

Wyatt dressed up as a cute "punkin" thanks to our thoughtful neighbors that gave him his costume! :) He and I also went to the Fall Festival with our neighbors at their church tonight! it was a lot of fun and we hope to go again next year!

if wyatt is awake when I need to take a shower, I have to be creative and keep him entertained! So, I hung the doorway jumper in our bathroom doorway…his toys are always traveling from room to room!!







he woke up from his nap today, and I turn the corner to see his cute little face looking over his crib! Such a strong guy!







tonight was wyatt’s first experience with food! He had some rice cereal. He seemed to like it and was so cute to watch! ☺
